On Friday, the Campbell County Camels faced the Sheridan Broncs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Campbell County snuck past Sheridan with a 59-54 victory. This was payback for Campbell County, who suffered a 51-43 loss the last time these two teams met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Campbell County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaylie Neary, who scored 15 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Curtis, who scored 15 points along with two steals and two blocks.
Campbell County's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Sheridan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Campbell County will face off against Arvada-Clearmont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sheridan on the road again on Friday and play against Natrona County at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Natrona County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wyoming Rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Sheridan is ranked eighth).
