The team also got some help courtesy of  Mackenzie Spradlin, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Atkins waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They beat the Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  2-1.
 Dover's win  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-13. As for Atkins, their victory was  their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 14-2.
 Dover might still be hurting after the  12-2 defeat they got from Atkins  when the teams last played  back in April of 2023. Can Dover avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
