Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar). Everything went their way against the Hurricane Tigers on Friday as the Cedar Reds made off with a 75-52 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Reds also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Hurricane saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Laynee Walker went 6 for 14 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds. Hallee Wardle was another key player, putting up 11 points along with five boards and three steals.

Cedar pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Hurricane, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Cedar will host Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Snow Canyon will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Cedar surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hurricane, they will venture away from home to take on Crimson Cliffs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
