Weiser is 10-0 against Payette since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Weiser Wolverines will stay at home for another game and welcome the Payette Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on December 14th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Weiser strolled past Nyssa with points to spare, taking the game 47-32.
Meanwhile, Payette scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-13 victory over Ontario. The win was some much needed relief for Payette as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Payette's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Sianna Gable , who scored 11 points along with five assists and three steals, and Bella Nunez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Erin Marie Auxier was another key contributor, scoring two points.
Weiser pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for Payette, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
Everything came up roses for Weiser against Payette in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 63-17 win. Does Weiser have another victory up their sleeve, or will Payette turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
