Monomoy has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cohasset Skippers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Even though Monomoy has not done well against Cape Cod Academy recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Monomoy walked away with a 57-48 victory over Cape Cod Academy. Given Monomoy's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Cape Cod Academy is ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cohasset waltzed into their matchup back in January with two straight wins but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 63-29 victory over Academy of Notre Dame on the road. Cohasset has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 21 points or more this season.
Monomoy's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Cohasset, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
