Stockdale got themselves on the board against Liberty on Monday, but Liberty never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 10-0 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Elchlepp made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

Elchlepp wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Eli Saunders, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. Cooper Eberly was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Stockdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Liberty only posted an OBP of .167.

Stockdale's record now sits at 18-8. As for Liberty, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

Stockdale will have a chance to go back-to-back against Liberty: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
