The Freedom Eagles can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Forest Park 49-16 on the road. Given Freedom's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Bruins are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Keilani Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Emajah Wright was another key contributor, scoring five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Freedom's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Forest Park, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Coincidentally, Freedom and the Bruins will both be playing the Panthers the next time they take the court. Freedom will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bruins will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
