Forest Park has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Calvert Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Forest Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Calvert is ranked 18th).
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Forest Park walked away with it. They skirted past the Falcons 12-9.
Forest Park can attribute much of their success to TiJuan Reed, who rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, Calvert waltzed into Friday's game with six straight wins but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 36-0 win over Fallston at home. Calvert's victory was all the more impressive since Fallston was averaging only 16 points allowed on the season.
Dajuan Robinson and Domaine Wallace Jr. were among the main playmakers for Calvert as the former threw for 130 yards and three touchdowns and the latter rushed for 197 yards while picking up 7.0 yards per carry.
Forest Park's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Calvert, their win bumped their record up to an identical 11-1.
