Meanwhile, Franklin County Tech waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They were the clear victor by a 54-29 margin over Athol. Franklin County Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 25 points or more this season.
Hannah Gilbert continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Haleigh Benoit was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Pioneer Valley Regional's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Franklin County Tech, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Pioneer Valley Regional came up short against Franklin County Tech in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 41-36. Can Pioneer Valley Regional avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
