The Stuart Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season. They put the hurt on Chambers/Wheeler Central with a sharp 63-41 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for Stuart as they're now sitting on six straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Stuart to victory, but perhaps none more so than Drew Schmaderer, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Gavynn Mustin was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
Stuart's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuart will take on Elgin/Pope John at TBD on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Elgin/Pope John is ranked 97th, while Stuart is ranked 103rd). As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Boyd County on January 12th. Hopefully Boyd County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
