The Billingsley Bears can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 59-48 win over Verbena. The win was just what Billingsley needed coming off of a 59-36 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Billingsley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danny Boice, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. Kyle Boice was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Billingsley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Verbena, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Billingsley won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Beulah at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Beulah is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
