Beachside has been on the road for three straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Fletcher Senators at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Beachside is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fletcher in Florida (Beachside is ranked 101st, while Fletcher is ranked 249th).
Beachside has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 37 points or more this season. They took their matchup on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 60-23 win over Florida School for the Deaf & Blind. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-15.
Beachside found their leader in underclassman Morgan Cremen, who scored 18 points along with 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cremen has scored at least 25% of Beachside's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn (Madi) Ray, who scored 9 points along with 5 blocks.
Meanwhile, Fletcher came up short against University Christian on Thursday and fell 29-17. Fletcher has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Beachside to 5-3 and Florida School for the Deaf & Blind to 4-3.
Beachside strolled past Fletcher in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 48-32. Does Beachside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fletcher turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
