They claimed a resounding 69-42 victory over Morgan Academy on the road. For Fort Dale Academy, this counts as revenge for the 61-36 defeat Morgan Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Morgan Academy saw an underclassman step up: CJ Christopher Williams scored 17 points along with six assists and three steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Barron Frazer, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.
Fort Dale Academy's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Morgan Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.
Fort Dale Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bessemer Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th.
