The Creekside Seminoles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 14th straight loss. They were dealt a 91-45 loss at the hands of Chapel Hill. Creekside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-26.
Despite the loss, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: Cadence Burch scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Gelsey, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Creekside dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Chapel Hill, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Creekside will be playing in front of their home fans against Midtown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chapel Hill, they will head out on the road to challenge Banneker at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Banneker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Chapel Hill is ranked 25th).
