The Mendon Unity Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Barry Western Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mendon Unity has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 314 points over their last five matchups.
Mendon Unity pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to West Prairie 60-56.
Meanwhile, Barry Western ended up a good deal behind Brown County on Tuesday and lost 59-43. Barry Western has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Casen Tobias, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jedd Abney, who scored 11 points.
Mendon Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Barry Western, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-20.
Mendon Unity was able to grind out a solid win over Barry Western in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 50-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendon Unity since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
