The biggest upset of the week belonged to Sandwich, who took down 38th ranked Coal City, 14-10.
The Indians were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from third to first in Interstate Eight - Large. Sandwich defeated the Coalers 14-10 earlier in the week.
Peotone's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jace Cowger threw for 89 yards and Andrew Marganski had 55 yards receiving. On the ground Danny Beresky chipped in 137 yards. Jake Rapson helped Peotone's passing attack out by catching five balls for 26 yards.
Herscher's Dalton Sproul and Kyle Burton have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Sproul has thrown for 403 yards this season, while Burton, a 5-foot-6 receiver, has 18 catches for 273 yards. The Blue Devils' Beresky leads the league in rushing yards with 523.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Plano takes on Coal City. As it stands, the Reapers are in second, while Lenny Onsen's team is in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Plano takes on the Coalers. Jim Green's team has allowed 70 points this season, while Coal City has given up 42.
The Indians moved up to 85 from 163 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Interstate Eight - Large. Sandwich climbed the ranks as a result of a 14-10 win over the Coalers.
