Sandhills Classical Christian faced Father Capodanno in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lions blew past the Grunts, posting a 40-0 win. Considering the Lions have won five contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sandhills Classical Christian's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 5.5 times. Father Capodanno's QB won't forget Maddox Murray anytime soon given he sacked him four times.

The victory (which was Sandhills Classical Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Father Capodanno, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Sandhills Classical Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Berean Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 880 yards in their previous games. As for Father Capodanno, they will be playing at home against Liberty Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Grunts will need to watch out since the Heat have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
