Ashland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kennedy Lacey, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Hoffman, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Madison Comprehensive's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Ashland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-9.
Madison Comprehensive will look to defend their home court on Monday against Northwestern at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Northwestern is ranked 483rd, while Madison Comprehensive is ranked 503rd). As for Ashland, they will head out on the road to square off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
