The Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes Storm pushed their score all the way to 73 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 95-73 loss at the hands of Dynamic Prep. While losing is never fun, Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Dynamic Prep is ranked third).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dynamic Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaden Toombs, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Toombs has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Washington, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes and nudges their season record down to 9-9. As for Dynamic Prep, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Texas Alliance of Christian Athletes will challenge iSchool of Lewisville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. ISchool of Lewisville is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Dynamic Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge Prep Student Academic Training Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
