Patrick Henry extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 26 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-7. They fell 12-7 to the Hidden Valley Titans. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.
Tatum Ziccardy was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Ziccardy was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Carlee Coleman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Arianna Williams was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
As for Hidden Valley, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games.
On Hidden Valley's side, ASHTON WOODSON spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. WOODSON has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, ALEXIS MCFARLAND was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was RILEY EADES, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Coming up, Patrick Henry will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenvar at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Highlanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.5 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hidden Valley, they will head out to face off against Blacksburg at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
