Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Clarksville Indians, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 32-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Friday. Clarksville's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Clarksville's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Makade Bloker, who rushed for 167 yards while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and Eli Schmidt who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns. Bloker is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last nine games he's played.
Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 12-1. As for Gladbrook-Reinbeck, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Clarksville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gladbrook-Reinbeck is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Bedford at 1:00 p.m. on November 8th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Iowa (Bedford is ranked first, while Gladbrook-Reinbeck is ranked seventh).
