Despite the defeat, Buckeye saw an underclassman step up: Molly Danilovic scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Buckeye dropped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Rocky River, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckeye will take on Lakewood at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lakewood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Buckeye in Ohio (Lakewood is ranked 321st, while Buckeye is ranked 746th). Rocky River won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valley Forge at 6:45 p.m. on January 25th.
