The Garland Owls will face off against the North Forney Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garland is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Garland can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Wylie 31-7.
Garland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyrone Crethers led the charge by picking up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Orlando Routt was another key contributor, throwing for 126 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, North Forney were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. Their rough 31-10 loss to Rockwall-Heath might stick with them for a while. It was the first time this season that North Forney let down their fans at home.
Despite the loss, North Forney got a solid performance out of Jermald Patterson, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. Patterson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Garland's win lifted them to 7-3 while North Forney's defeat dropped them down to 8-2.
