The Warsaw Tigers will face off against the Keshequa Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Warsaw has struggled recently with seven losses in a row, while Keshequa will arrive with seven straight victories.
Warsaw had taken Perry down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Tigers fell 5-1 to the Yellowjackets.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Keshequa). They never let Mount Morris get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by six runs or more this season.
Aiden Howe made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Fox, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Pike, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Keshequa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive games.
Warsaw's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Keshequa, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Warsaw took their win against Keshequa in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-5 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
