Centralia is 8-2 against Doniphan West since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Centralia Panthers will be playing at home against the Doniphan West Mustangs. Centralia will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
Last Friday, Centralia strolled past Valley Heights with points to spare, taking the game 63-47. Given Centralia's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Valley Heights is ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Doniphan West came into Tuesday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over Onaga on Tuesday. The victory was just what Doniphan West needed coming off of a 62-28 defeat in their prior game.
Centralia's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Doniphan West, their win ended a 16-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-12.
Everything came up roses for Centralia against Doniphan West when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 60-29 victory. Does Centralia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Doniphan West turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
