Spanish Fort put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Opp Bobcats by a score of 5-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Toros also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Spanish Fort got a great performance from Mallarie Beagle as she pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Furthermore, Beagle didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Griffith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she's hit this season.

Spanish Fort's record now sits at 5-0. As for Opp, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Spanish Fort will host Mary G. Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Spanish Fort is facing Mary G. Montgomery at the right time seeing as Mary G. Montgomery is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Opp, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats duke it out with the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
