Fans got a thrill when Jacob Knipp and John Morales connected against Grand Junction. The connection went for 66 yards, the longest such play in 5A North Metro this season.
Arvada West was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Wildcats triumphed over Hinkley 35-25.
Ralston Valley's dynamic duo of Knipp and Kevin Meadows proved to be unstoppable against the Tigers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Knipp threw for 337 yards and 4 touchdowns and Meadows had 128 yards receiving. Morales helped Ralston Valley's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 118 yards.
The Mustangs' dynamic duo of Knipp and Meadows proved tough for Grand Junction to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Knipp put up the best numbers through the air as Ralston Valley beat Robbie Owens' team.
Chris Marquez was a beast in the backfield as Pomona bested Lakewood.
Meadows was the best receiver in the league this week as Matt Loyd's team topped the Tigers.
He went 18-21 with 1 interceptions.
Marquez was the best running back in 5A North Metro this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 276 yards as the Panthers bested Grand Junction. Lukas Russell also contributed to the rushing game with 91 yards on the ground.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Sam Martin. The Fairview star has 18 catches for 319 yards.
Ralston Valley took down the Tigers 66-45 last week, the largest margin of any game. Knipp ran for 38 yards during the win.
