Mountain Ridge hasn't had much luck against Bingham recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Sentinels will head out on the road to challenge the Miners at 3:30 p.m. Mountain Ridge will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Mountain Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over Logan on Saturday. Considering the Sentinels have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Hannah Dansie, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Hanna Lino also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Mountain Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Bingham faced Westlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Miners walked away with a 10-5 win over the Thunder.
Lily Gritton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits.
On the hitting side, Bingham let Tatum Ewing and Haylee Snyder run wild. Ewing went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Snyder went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Peyton Poleki, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Mountain Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bingham, they now have a winning record of 11-10-1.
Mountain Ridge might still be hurting after the 17-10 loss they got from Bingham when the teams last played back in March. Can the Sentinels avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
