Basketball Recap: Goose Creek Memorial Comes Up Short

Goose Creek Memorial lost against King back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots had to suffer through a 73-39 loss at the hands of the King Panthers. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-12.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ruby Mosley, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 10 points and three steals. Mosley is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Znai Horn, who posted nine points.

Goose Creek Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for King, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Goose Creek Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-38 loss against North Shore on the 17th. As for King, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-46 defeat against Summer Creek on the 17th.
