Volleyball Recap: Forest Wins Going Away Against Vanguard

Forest's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Vanguard Knights as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won seven in a row.

Forest had a senior duo take command as Mya Rivera had eight digs and three aces and Sarah McDonnell had 11 digs and two aces. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for McDonnell. Gracie Martineau also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Forest's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Vanguard, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Forest will take on Spruce Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Vanguard, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against The Villages Charter on the 10th.
