The Garden Plain Owls's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Conway Springs. Garden Plain was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Conway Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Melissa Ebenkamp led the charge by scoring 11 points along with seven steals. Ebenkamp hasn't dropped below three steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Brooke Beck, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Garden Plain has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Conway Springs, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
Garden Plain will take on the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conway Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Roadrunners at 6:00 p.m. Chaparral is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
