Thomasville (Ga.) lost to
Cook (Adel, Ga.), 17-3.
The two teams were tied at three heading into halftime. The Hornets took the lead for good on a
Corey Joiner touchdown run with 8:00 remaining in the third quarter.
Ross Pickle played well for Cook in the victory. He ran for one touchdown.
Alex Crowley made a difference for the Bulldogs. He kicked one field goal.
The victory will ease some of the sting of CHS's close 17-14 loss to Thomasville last season.
With the win the Adel school extended its winning streak to four games.
Cook (4-0) will play a AA Region 1 game against Fitzgerald next week, while Thomasville (1-4) will take on Brooks County also in a AA Region 1 game.
