Shelby moved up to 368 from 403 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Northern Ohio. A 19-0 win over the Whippets helped the Whippets improve their standing.
Norwalk extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Sandusky, 54-13. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Truckers.
Norwalk's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jake Fetherolf threw for 255 and five touchdowns and Isaac Perry had 136 yards receiving. On the ground Breck Turner chipped in 143 yards. Jordan Johnson helped Norwalk's passing attack out by catching three balls for 94 yards.
Chris MacFarland's team's Fetherolf and Johnson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Fetherolf has thrown for 1758 yards this season, while Johnson, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 21 catches for 525 yards. Shelby's Andrew Baird leads the league in rushing yards with 749.
Two of the top units in Northern Ohio will face off this week when the Truckers take on Bellevue. Norwalk's offense has recorded 322 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Redmen have permitted only 79 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Bellevue takes on the Truckers. Ed Nasonti's team is currently in third, while Norwalk is in first.
