Lytle is a perfect 10-0 against Cotulla since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will host the Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lytle has nine straight wins, Cotulla has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lytle's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Natalia 12-0. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won 13 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Mason Hill was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Toby Davila, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.
Lytle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .367 or higher in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Cotulla lost 29-1 to Hondo on Thursday.
Cotulla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garret Crain, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.
Lytle's victory bumped their record up to 18-6-1. As for Cotulla, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18-1.
Cotulla's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lytle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. It's a different story for Cotulla, though, as they've only averaged .212. Will they be able to contain Lytle's hitters?
Everything went Lytle's way against Cotulla in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Lytle made off with a 16-0 win. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Cowboys have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
