The Sahuaro Cougars entered their tilt with the St. Mary's Knights with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Sahuaro blew past St. Mary's 60-33 at home. Fans of Sahuaro have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Leading Sahuaro to victory were Biale Sika and Cassandra Coolidge. Sika scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds, while Coolidge scored 22 points along with 3 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Coolidge has scored at least 25% of Sahuaro's points. Kristen Valdez was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 4 steals.
Sahuaro has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 3-0 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for St. Mary's, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Sahuaro will play host again and welcome Amphitheater, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
