Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for North Port

North Port waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Parrish Community Bulls by a score of 8-4. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 5-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Landon Davidson and Steven Commander did most of the damage at the plate: Davidson went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Commander scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Davidson has become a key player for North Port: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 3-5 otherwise.

North Port now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Parrish Community, their record is now 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Port will welcome Island Coast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Port will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for Parrish Community, they will be taking part in a tournament against Bolles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolles is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
