The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls fought the good fight in their overtime match against the Spanish Fork Dons on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a hard 85-70 fall against the Dons. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management still got an impressive performance from Andre Cade, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Cade posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Noah Tomlin, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Aaron Dunn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Spanish Fork, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Christensen, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Sports Leadership & Management and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Spanish Fork, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.
Sports Leadership & Management won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Manti at 12:00 p.m. on December 16th. Manti is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Spanish Fork won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cedar at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. Cedar knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Spanish Fork likes a good challenge.
