The Damascus Hornets had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.8 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They came out on top against Poolesville by a score of 41-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Damascus also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Damascus' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Poolesville, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Damascus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-31 victory vs. Rockville on the 9th. Poolesville has also already played their next game, a 58-35 win against Northwest on the 9th.
