The Indian Creek Redskins were the 59-53 winner over the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. Indian Creek took a 52-35 bruising from Tuscarawas Valley on Saturday.
Several Redskins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tori Robertson, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kylie Anderson, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Tuscarawas Valley can attribute much of their success to Leah Bourquin, who scored 16 points along with 3 steals. Kaleigh Norris was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Indian Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Tuscarawas Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Indian Creek will head out on the road to face off against Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cambridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 511th, while Indian Creek is ranked 114th). As for Tuscarawas Valley, they will be playing at home against New Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. New Philadelphia is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
