Henderson is 2-8 against Coatesville since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Warriors will welcome the Red Raiders at 3:45 p.m.
Henderson is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Wednesday. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Shanahan.
Josie Carfagno was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two doubles. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Avery Reitnour, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Coatesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Great Valley 17-1 on Thursday. Considering the Red Raiders have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Gracelynn Landis made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jillian Wimmer, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and four RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Olivia Wilkins was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Coatesville pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
Henderson might still be hurting after the 18-8 defeat they got from Coatesville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Warriors have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
