The LaFayette Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Lanett on the road and fell 57-28. LaFayette has not had much luck with Lanett recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Lanett found their leader in underclassman Armani Langdon, who scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of MaKiah White, who scored nine points.
LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lanett, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaFayette will challenge Reeltown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Reeltown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. Lanett won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valley at 5:00 p.m. on January 6th. Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Lanett is ranked 106th).
