The West Caldwell Tech Eagles will head out to  face off against the Harrison Blue Tide  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  matchup red-hot, with West Caldwell Tech sitting on  five straight  victories and Harrison on nine.
West Caldwell Tech is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Monday. They walked away with  a   2-0  win over Jefferson Township.
 While West Caldwell Tech won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20,  25-23.

 Among those leading the charge was   John Jimenez, who  had 12  digs and six  assists. He has been hot for a while, having  posted ten or more  digs the last ten times he's  played.
Meanwhile, Harrison beat Weehawken 2-0  on Wednesday.
 Harrison never let Weehawken on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16,  25-23.
 West Caldwell Tech better keep an eye on  Brayan Andrade. He was instrumental in Harrison's win,  getting nine  digs and two assists.
 West Caldwell Tech pushed their record up to 22-7 with the  victory, which was their tenth straight  at home. As for Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 28-2.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Friday's  contest:  West Caldwell Tech hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 6.4  blocks per game. It's a different story for Harrison, though, as  they've been averaging  only 1.7  blocks. Given West Caldwell Tech's sizable advantage in that area, the Blue Tide will need to find a way to close that gap.
 West Caldwell Tech beat Harrison 2-0  in their previous matchup  back in June of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success,  or do  the Blue Tide have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
