Spring Hill has gone 9-1 against Shelbyville Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Spring Hill has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Spring Hill after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Summertown.

Nick Bolton put in work no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Keegan Yoakum was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Gary Cox was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Shelbyville Central didn't have quite enough to beat Dickson County on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Shelbyville Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caden Duggin, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Shelbyville Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-8 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Spring Hill, their record now sits at 9-13.

Spring Hill took their win against Shelbyville Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1 score. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
