Meanwhile, Bay City's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 62-41 walloping at the hands of La Marque. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Bay City has suffered since December 2, 2023.
Brazosport has been struggling recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Bay City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.
Brazosport barely slipped by Bay City when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 58-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brazosport since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
