The Stoutland Tigers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 80-61 victory over Warsaw. The win was just what Stoutland needed coming off of a 97-67 defeat in their prior contest.
Warsaw's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Gemes, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Siebert, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Even though they lost, Warsaw smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Stoutland's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Warsaw, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home.
Stoutland will take on Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Skyline is ranked 339th, while Stoutland is ranked 327th). As for Warsaw, they will head out on the road to square off against Climax Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Climax Springs and Warsaw are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
