Aransas Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the George West Longhorns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Longhorns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-1  back in September.
 Aransas Pass started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-15,  15-13.
 Brooklynn Magee paced Aransas Pass' offense, picking up seven kills. Magee got some help from  Olivia Durham and her 15 assists.  Lauren Barker and  Tyrain Wallace kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.
 George West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Destiny Salazar led the charge by  getting 15  digs and 12  kills. Salazar is  on a roll when it comes to  kills, as she's  now  had seven or more in each of the last five games she's  played.  Bella Troutman was another key player,  getting 25  digs and three  aces.
Aransas Pass' defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for George West, their win  ended  a  six-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 15-17.
