Baseball Recap: Goddard Has No Trouble Against Lovington

Goddard was forced to take a big loss against they on Saturday, they got the better of them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Lovington Wildcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rockets considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Carmelo Ortega tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
