On Thursday, Wake Prep Academy was beaten by Oak Forest 58-25. While losing is never fun, Wake Prep Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Oak Forest is ranked 90th).
Despite the loss, Wake Prep Academy still got an impressive performance from Chelsea Lange, who scored 19 points.
Wake Prep Academy has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Oak Forest, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
Wake Prep Academy will head out on the road to take on American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. American Leadership Academy-Johnston comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Oak Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
