Considering the Cougars have won three matchups by more than 30 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Cannon [Cannon/Concord Academy] can attribute much of their success to Seth Henry, who rushed for 82 yards, and also picked up 69 receiving yards.

Cannon [Cannon/Concord Academy]'s defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Jackson Laws with two sacks. Laws is crushing it when it comes to sacks: he's posted at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Metrolina Christian Academy's side was Fedel Smith, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee humbled Christ School with a 42-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Greenies: they've now won seven in a row.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win came from a few key players Cannon [Cannon/Concord Academy] will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jordan Lindo, who rushed for 153 yards and two scores on only five carries. Those 153 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Gavin Owens was another key player, rushing for 70 yards and one TD.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 352 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Rabun Gap-Nacoochee didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Benjamin Weisser and Troy Dottin. Jay Schell was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making six total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Cannon [Cannon/Concord Academy]'s victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
