Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain Lutheran had to suffer through a rough 79-35 loss at the hands of Denver Waldorf. Rocky Mountain Lutheran was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-10.
Despite the loss, Rocky Mountain Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: Gavin Borchardt dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Borchardt is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season.
Denver Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Denver Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55.3 points per game. It's a different story for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, though, as they've been averaging only 23.6 points per game.
